On Saturday, gymnast and seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles and NFL safety Jonathan Owens said their vows in Cabo, Mexico, in front of 144 guests.
Simone and Jonathan first met on the dating app Raya in 2020, with the gold medalist making the first move and sliding into his DMs. Their relationship became more serious when Simone’s sister invited Jonathan to join them on a family trip to their lake house in Texas, and eventually, he proposed two years later on Valentine’s Day during golden hour at Brenner’s Steakhouse on the Bayou in Houston.
The two officially said “I do” last month in a civil ceremony at the Harris County Courthouse....
As a Nashville resident, Halston Abbott rarely goes to Broadway. “If you are a local, you only ever go to Broadway if you have friends in town or for a special occasion,” she says. But on one such occasion—June 25, 2021—making the trip to the touristy spot changed her life, because there she met Jhon Chaverra Mendoza. “I had friends visiting, and we decided to hit the town. Jhon was in Nashville to play in a soccer tournament that he had been recruited from Colombia to play in. That Friday night, Jhon and his friends decided to have a night out as well.”

Stormy weather couldn’t keep CNN’s Elizabeth Wagmeister from marrying the love of her life.
Wagmeister and her groom-to-be Michael Sigall had originally planned to wed in October 2023 in Cabo, Mexico — a location that they felt had been “meant to be” not only because it was a “magical” setting and the food was “incredible,” but because they had each separately told their friends that they envisioned themselves getting married there.

Katherine + Alden both love the great outdoors. “Both of us feel most at peace and connected to ourselves and each other when we are in nature,” the couple says. Rock climbing together even played a big part in the early days of their relationship. They wanted their wedding to feature as much beautiful nature as possible—a wide range of experience that included both sand and snow.
The snow portion came when the couple eloped at the foot of Mt. Baker in Washington state’s Snoqualmie National Forest!!
Wylie Abbott and Kelso Stevens met in February of 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee during Wylie’s first year of law school at UT. When she stumbled across Kelso on Tinder, neither of them had to swipe right again. In November 2020, the pair were golfing in Charlotte, North Carolina when Kelso decided to pop a very important question. “We were on the ninth hole finishing up a putt and he had gotten down on his knee behind me,” Wylie remembers. “I thought he was trying to coach me—something I was not very happy about—but then I turned around and he had a ring out.” As soon as she said yes, the whole club erupted in cheers. “It was magical,” she says.
As the daughter of San Jose del Cabo wedding planner Amy Abbott of Amy Abbott Events, Wylie...
